This second part of the encyclopedic study of wudu (ablution) first examines the washing of the feet, the fourth obligation on which the 4 Sunni schools agree, then the duties whose status is disputed: the intention (niyya), continuity between the acts (muwalat), the order of the limbs (tartib), and rubbing (dalk). It then details the recommended acts (sunan) of wudu, from the opening basmala to rinsing the mouth and nose, wiping the ears and the whole head, passing the fingers between the fingers and toes, the question of extending the ghurra and the tahjil, and finally the closing supplication and the prayer of 2 rak'as. Each position is reported exactly as the encyclopedia attributes it to its school, together with its Quranic and prophetic proofs and its references to the classical works.
