Definition Al-klamu al-jaamʿ

Al-klamu al-jaamʿ according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

That the speaker adorns his speech with something from admonitions, or wisdoms, or complaining about the times and brethren.

Al-klamu al-jaamʿ according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Speech whose expressions are few and meanings are numerous. Plural: jawami'. And in the noble hadith: "I have been given jawami' al-kalim", meaning: the speech of the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him was concise in expression and abundant in meaning. And some said: jawami' al-kalim in this hadith refers to the Quran.
