Definition Al-shḥnaʾ

Al-shḥnaʾ according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

Animosity with which the soul is filled. Al-Fayyumi said: hostility and hatred. And Abu al-Baqa said: hatred rooted in the heart. In the Qur'an: ﴿in the laden ship﴾.
