Definition Al-wja

Al-wja according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

To strike with the hand or with the knife; one says 'I struck him in the neck (waja'ahu fi 'unqihi)', on the pattern of mana'a; from it comes the hadith: 'There is no retribution (qisas) in this and that, nor for the deep wound (waja'a)'.

Al-wja according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

'So-and-so, waji'an or wajiyyan': to push him with both palms joined against the chest or the neck; one says 'I struck him with the hand and with the knife': I struck him. 'The male': to crush the veins of his testicles between two stones without extracting them, or to crush them until they rupture, so that he becomes like a eunuch; he is 'waji'', the patient 'muwja'' and 'waji''. 'A woman': to have with her the marital relation.
