📖 2 min readThe language that we use today in writing, composition, and literature is the language that reached us through pre-Islamic poetry, the Noble Quran, and the Prophetic Sunnah. The Quran guaranteed this language immortality, and the recitation of the Noble Quran helped stabilize that language, particularly in its phonetic aspect, which is the most exposed aspect of language to change, deviation, and distortion, in addition to the fact that the Quranic style remained the optimal measure for the elevation of the styles of writers and poets, such that the status of any writer or poet is always measured by the extent to which they approach the ideality of the Quranic style, or move away from it. However, this which we have established concerning the stability of the Arabic language and its immortality did not prevent the occurrence of some developments in phonetic performance on the one hand, and in vocabulary and structures on the other hand, and this is from the nature of things. It suffices for us to read an ancient text, then compare it to a text by a contemporary writer in order to touch upon the difference between the two texts.
