Tans according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

With it: he grew familiar. The hunting falcon: it roved its eye seeking. With it: you hear it. Al-ins: humankind; in the Qur'an: 'I created not jinn and humans (al-ins) save to worship Me' (adh-Dhariyat, 56); its singular insi. Genuine companionship; one says he is the son of so-and-so's ins, meaning his intimate friend (plural anas). Al-insi: the singular of al-ins; in the Qur'an: 'I have vowed to the Merciful a fast, so I shall not speak today to any human (insiyyan)' (Maryam, 26). Of animals: that which grows used to houses; in the noble hadith the Messenger of God (peace and blessings upon him) forbade temporary enjoyment (mut'a) in the year of Khaybar, and the flesh of domestic donkeys (al-humur al-insiyya), that is, tamed donkeys. With the Malikis, of animals: what has left the wild's temperament and grown familiar with people. Al-ina': the vessel for food and drink (plural awani); the plural of the plural is awan, not used of fewer than nine save figuratively; as for al-Ghazali's and some Shafi'is' use of the word al-aniya in the singular, it is not sound in language.
