Definition Thani

Thani according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

Son of five years of camels, son of two years of cows, son of one year of sheep. The poet said.

Thani according to Mu'jam Lughat al-Fuqaha

All whose second tooth fell of the animal, plural thana’, thaniyan; she thaniyya, plural thanayat.

Thani according to At-Ta'rifat al-Fiqhiyya (Al-Barkati)

He casting his second tooth: of camels, five years completed; of cows, two; of sheep, one.

Thani according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

The matter returned twice. In the noble hadith: « no thani in charity », zakat not taken twice the year. Of women: she bearing twice. The second child. Ath-thounya: exception; noble hadith: « who excepts has his exceptions », his excepted.
