Definition of Jlb
The origin of al-jalb: to drive something.
One says 'jalabtu jalban' (I drove).
Al-jawâlib: what drives.
The clamor 'jalaba' is the noise people make while hunting.
Allah says: 'And gather (ajlib) against them your cavalry' (Al-Isrâ': 64), words addressed to Satan.
And incite [to senselessness] whoever you can among them with your voice and assault them with your horses and foot soldiers and become a partner in their wealth and their children and promise them." But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
