Definition of Dʿ

Al-da'': pushing strongly.

Said to one who stumbles: 'da' da'' (get up).

Allah says: 'That is the one who repulses (yadu''u) the orphan' (Al-Mâ'ûn: 2).

Repulsing the orphan harshly is a sign of disbelief in the Last Day.
