Definition Aaqb

Aaqb according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Between two things: to take one after the other. Such a one for his sin, in the forms i'aqaba and 'uquban: to requite him with an evil requital for what he did. In the Quran: [an-Nahl, 126: 'If you punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith you were afflicted; but if you endure patiently, it is better for the patient.']. The noun: al-'uquba, and it is peculiar to punishment.
