Definition Abda

Abda according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

The child: his teeth grew in after falling out. The thing, or with it: he began it; one says 'I begin in the matter'; and 'he repeated': he began and returned; 'what initiates and what repeats': one who can neither open speech nor resume it, that is, he has no resource, or he is lost. In the Qur'an: 'say: the truth has come, and the false neither initiates (yubdi'u) nor repeats' (Saba, 49), that is, Islam has come and unbelief has no more effect.
