Definition Adkhr

Adkhr according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Adkhira the thing: to store it away (idhkhira). In the Noble Quran: '... and I will inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses' (Al 'Imran, 49); its original form is idtakhirahu. Al-idhkhir: green herbage, its singular being idhkhirah; a sweet-smelling herb that turns white when dry, known among the people of Makkah. Adh-dhukhr: what is stored (plural: adhkhar). Adh-dhukhrah: adh-dhukhr.
