Definition Albyat

Albyat according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

One says: 'the matter came upon them bayatan': in the depth of night. Al-bayt: the dwelling, whether a building, a tent, or otherwise (plural abyat, buyut). The house's furnishings. The Ka'ba; in the Qur'an: 'upon the people is a duty to God, the pilgrimage of the House (al-bayt), whoever is able to make his way to it' (Al 'Imran, 97); 'bayt Allah': the mosque; 'bayt of the traveler': his wife and household.

Albyat according to At-Ta'rifat al-Fiqhiyya (Al-Barkati)

A noun from 'he came upon the enemy by night' (batta al-'aduww), that is, attacked them at night in a raid.
