Al-dhbdhb according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), because it oscillates, meaning it moves, derived from adh-dhadhaba which refers to the swaying of something suspended in the air. From this, it is said of one who hesitates between two matters that he is wavering (mudhadhib), and this is among the characteristics of the hypocrite.
