Definition Alhqyq

Alhqyq according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

With the accusative: worthy of; one says: "he is worthy (haqiq) to do such a thing", and "haqiq bi-": worthy to do such a thing. With "ala": bound; in the Quran: "I am not one to say of Allah aught but the truth" (al-A'raf 7:105); in a reading: "haqiq 'alayya".
