Definition Al-zbwr

Al-zbwr according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

A fu'ul form from az-zabr, which is writing, in the sense of mazbur: that is, written; its plural zubur. The Zabur (Psalms): the book of David, upon our Prophet and upon him prayer and peace, as the Torah is what was sent down to Moses (peace be upon him), the Gospel what was sent down to Jesus (peace be upon him), and the Qur'an what was sent down to Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him). God said: 'and We gave David the Zabur.'
