Definition Anfq

Anfq according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Such a one: to become needy and have one's property gone. The merchant: to give up one's trade. Money and the like: to spend it out and consume it wholly. In the Quran: [al-Furqan, 67: 'And those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but keep a just mean between the two.']. Provision. In the Quran: [al-Ma'ida, 64: 'The Jews said: the hand of Allah is fettered! Their hands are fettered and they are cursed for what they said. Nay, His two hands are outstretched: He expends as He wills.']
