Definition Ardat

Ardat according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Arda'at the mother: to have a child that she suckles. In the Noble Quran: 'Mothers shall suckle their children for two full years, for such as desire to complete the suckling' (Al-Baqarah, 233). She is then murdi' and murdi'ah (plural: mirdi'). Arda'at the child: to have him suckled.
