Definition Astrqa

Astrqa according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Istraqa someone: to ask him to recite a ruqyah (protective formula) over one. Istraqa for him: to seek someone to recite it over him. Ar-raqi: the one who performs the ruqyah; the possessor of the ruqyah (plural: ruqah). She is raqiyah (plural: rawiq); she is also raqiyah, the ta expressing intensification. Ar-ruqyah: the protective incantation with which one treats the sick and the like; a word by which healing from every affliction is sought (plural: ruqa). According to the Ibadis: it is clinging (i'tisam) to the removal of an illness or madness by the Quran or by transmitted speech.
