Definition Azka

Azka according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Azka the thing: to grow and increase. Azka the thing: to make it grow. Tazakka: to give alms; to purify oneself from sins. In the Noble Quran: 'Successful indeed is the one who purifies himself (tazakka)' (Al-A'la, 14), that is: who cleanses his soul of vicious morals and follows what Allah, glorified be He, sent down upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
