Dmr according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Damira the horse, in damuran: to grow lean and lose flesh; to contract, its parts drawing close to one another. Dammara: to make it lean. Dammara the animal: to make it lean. One says: dammara the horse for the race, and the like: to tether it, feed it, water it abundantly for a period, and run it on the track until it becomes light and trim. The duration of tadmir among the Arabs is forty days. Ad-damir: one of little flesh, slender. In the Noble Quran: 'And proclaim the pilgrimage among the people: they will come to you on foot and on every lean mount (damir), coming from every deep ravine' (Al-Hajj, 27) (plural: dimar, dawamir). Ad-dimar: what no good is expected from, in debt as in promise; everything one cannot be sure of. According to the Hanafis: denied wealth (mujhad) that has physical existence and from which no benefit is expected, such as usurped property, and denied wealth when no evidence supports it. Ad-dammir: what is hidden (mudmar) (plural: dama'ir); what you harbour within yourself and which is hard to determine; the inner readiness to discern the evil and the good of deeds, words and thoughts, to distinguish between them, to approve the good and deem ugly the evil among them.
