The small basin: what is below ten cubits by ten; the great: that format squared; round, forty-eight considered, till below it: not permitted; so in al-Khoulasa the completer, in as-Sarkhasi’s Mouhit and the Ghiyathiyya; the basin round, some say its circumference must forty-four, being ten by ten.
Plural ahwadh, hiyadh, hiydan: water’s gathering. Basin. The great basin in the Hanafi school: ten cubits by ten (see cubit). What Allah specified Mouhammad the gathering, his community drinking: who drinks never thirsts.

The Prophet’s: what Allah specified him the hereafter; the Prophet describes: « my basin a month’s journey, its water whiter than milk, its scent sweeter than musk, its cups like the sky’s stars: who drinks never thirsts ». The kizan plural of kouz: a handled vessel drinking water.
