Definition Sara

Sara according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Sarra, in musarah and siraran: to confide one's secrets to someone and inform him of one's secret. As-sirr: the line in the hollow of the palm, the face and the forehead (plural: asrar); what is cut of the newborn's navel cord. As-sirr: what one conceals and hides. In the Noble Quran: 'He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth: He knows your secret (sirrakum) and what you declare, and He knows what you earn' (Al-An'am, 3) (plural: asrar, sirar); the origin; the interior of every thing; the best and purest part of every thing; marriage. Hence the word of Allah, the Most High: 'There is no blame upon you regarding the betrothal you hint at, or conceal within yourselves. Allah knows that you will mention them' (Al-Baqarah, 235). Ibn 'Abbas and al-Shafi'i interpreted it as intercourse (within marriage), and others as fornication.
