Definition Sharbh

Sharbh according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Sharibah, in musharabah or shariban: to drink with him. Ash-sharib: the hair growing on the upper lip (the moustache). The majority said: ash-sharib is singular, while al-Shafi'i used the dual form. Plural: shawarib. Ash-sharib: agent noun (plural: shurb). Ash-sharab: whatever one drinks, of any kind and in any state (plural: ashrabah). In terminology: what intoxicates (al-Haskafi). Ash-sharb: verbal noun. Ash-shirb: the water drunk; the share taken of it. In the Noble Quran: 'This she-camel has a share of water (shirb), and you have a share of water, on a known day' (Ash-Shu'ara', 155); the time of watering; the water source (plural: ishrib). In legal terms: the turn of using the water for the watering of crops and beasts (al-Haskafi). In the Mejelle (article 1262): the turn of using the water for watering animal and crop.
