بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verse 1 - Surah Al-Qadr: 5 words

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.

إِنَّآ innā Indeed, We

أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ anzalnāhu revealed it

فِى fī in

لَيْلَةِ laylati (the) Night

ٱلْقَدْرِ l-qadri (of) Power

Verse 2 - Surah Al-Qadr: 5 words

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ

And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?

وَمَآ wamā And what

أَدْرَىٰكَ adrāka can make you know

مَا mā what

لَيْلَةُ laylatu (the) Night

ٱلْقَدْرِ l-qadri (of) Power (is)

Verse 3 - Surah Al-Qadr: 6 words

لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍۢ

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

لَيْلَةُ laylatu (The) Night

ٱلْقَدْرِ l-qadri (of) Power

خَيْرٌۭ khayrun (is) better

مِّنْ min than

أَلْفِ alfi a thousand

شَهْرٍۢ shahrin month(s)

Verse 4 - Surah Al-Qadr: 9 words

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍۢ

The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.

تَنَزَّلُ tanazzalu Descend

ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ l-malāikatu the Angels

وَٱلرُّوحُ wal-rūḥu and the Spirit

فِيهَا fīhā therein

بِإِذْنِ bi-idh'ni by (the) permission

رَبِّهِم rabbihim (of) their Lord

مِّن min for

كُلِّ kulli every

أَمْرٍۢ amrin affair

Verse 5 - Surah Al-Qadr: 5 words

سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ

Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

سَلَـٰمٌ salāmun Peace

هِىَ hiya it (is)

حَتَّىٰ ḥattā until

مَطْلَعِ maṭlaʿi (the) emergence

ٱلْفَجْرِ l-fajri (of) the dawn
