Definition Alhsna

Alhsna according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Al-husna: feminine of al-hasan. In the Noble Quran: 'To Allah belong the most beautiful names: so call upon Him by them' (Al-A'raf, 180). The goodly outcome. In the Noble Book: 'As for him who believes and does righteous deeds, he will have the best recompense, and We will say to him of Our command an easy word' (Al-Kahf, 88). Martyrdom in the path of Allah, the Most High. In the Noble Revelation: 'Say: do you await for us anything but one of the two best things?' (At-Tawbah, 52). Al-hasana: the opposite of the evil deed (sayyi'ah), in word or deed (plural: hasanat). In the Noble Quran: 'The good deed and the evil deed are not equal. Repel (evil) with what is better: then the one between whom and you was enmity will be as an intimate friend' (Fussilat, 34). The blessing, the favour. In the Noble Book: 'When good fortune befalls them, they say: it is ours' (Al-A'raf, 131). Al-hashsh: the privy; the one performing ablution. Al-hushsh: same as al-hashsh. Al-hishsh: same as al-hashsh.
