Definition Jahd

Jahd according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

To fight (jahada) the enemy in mujahadah or jihad: to combat him. In the Noble Quran: 'O Prophet! Strive against the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination' (At-Tawbah, 74).
