Definition Al-lf

Al-lf according to An-Nihaya (Ibn al-Athir)

The party and the band, from iltifaf; its plural is alfaf. It means: this suffices you, do not frighten our camels away.

Al-lf according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

And nashr: to mention two things then bring their explanation together, trusting the hearer will restore to each its due, as in the Most High's word: 'And of His mercy He made for you the night and the day, that you may rest therein and seek of His bounty' (Al-Qasas, 73).
