Definition Al-mstwdʿ

Al-mstwdʿ according to An-Nihaya (Ibn al-Athir)

The place where the deposit (wadi'a) is placed. One says: she entrusted it to him as a deposit (istawda'at-hu wadi'a), when you entrust him with keeping it; and what was meant thereby is the place where Adam and Eve were in Paradise. It is said: what was meant is the womb.

Al-mstwdʿ according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

The thing placed in a fixed station, like the child in its mother's womb, and the sperm in the back (the spine).

Al-mstwdʿ according to At-Ta'rifat al-Fiqhiyya (Al-Barkati)

With kasra of the dal, and 'al-wadi'a' likewise: the one who accepts the deposit.
