Definition Almtshabh fy alqran

Almtshabh fy alqran according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

The mutashabih in the Noble Quran: that which resembles (mumaththal). Hence the word of Allah, the Most High: '... and the olives and pomegranates, similar (mutashabihan) and dissimilar. Eat of their fruit when it fruits, and pay its due on the day of its harvest, and do not be excessive: He does not love the excessive' (Al-An'am, 141), that is: alike in appearance and not alike in taste. The mutashabih is what corresponds to the muhkam: that whose explanation is obscure because it resembles another, whether in wording, in meaning, or in both. Hence the word of Allah, the Most High: 'He it is who sent down upon you the Book: therein are verses precise (muhkamat), they are the mother of the Book, and others unspecific (mutashabihat). As for those in whose hearts is deviation, they follow what is unspecific thereof, seeking discord and seeking its interpretation. None knows its interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say: we believe in it, all is from our Lord. And none remember except the people of understanding' (Al 'Imran, 7). According to the Hanbalis: what is reported of the attributes of Allah, the Most High, that must be believed in and whose interpretation must not be pursued, such as the word of the Most High: 'The Merciful established Himself upon the Throne' (Ta-Ha, 5), and His word: '... rather His two hands are outstretched' (Al-Ma'idah, 64). This is the correct view. Or: the summary (mujmal); the disjointed letters at the openings of the surahs; the narratives and parables. According to the Zaydis: what none knows except Allah, the Most High.
