Definition Anshz

Anshz according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

The thing: to raise it. Allah the bones of the dead: to raise them to their place, heaping some upon others. In the Quran: [al-Baqara, 259: 'Look at the bones: how We set them up, then clothe them with flesh.']. Al-nashiz: the raised, masculine and feminine. One says: such a one is high of forehead. Al-nashiza: the raised one. The disobedient to the husband, bearing him ill will. According to the Law: she who leaves the husband's house without right. (Ibn Abidin). Among the Ibadis: the disobedient who departs from her husband's accord in the obligatory or the permitted. Al-nashz: what rises and appears from the earth. (plural) nushuz. Al-nashaz: the nashz. (plural) anshaz and nushaz. Al-nushuz: elevation. Disobedience. In the Quran: [an-Nisa, 34: 'Those from whom you fear rebelliousness, admonish them and forsake them in bed and strike them; but if they obey you, seek not a way against them: Allah is high, great.'], that is: disobedience, or vaunting above what Allah, glorified is He, made obligatory. Between the two spouses: the hatred of each for the other. According to Ibn Abbas: discord and hatred. Among the Malikis, Shafi'is, Hanbalis and Ja'fariyya: the withdrawal of one of the spouses from obedience to the other in what is due to him.
