Definition Khrj

Khrj according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Kharaja, in khurujan: to come out of one's place or state, to part from it. In the Noble Quran: 'As for the good land, its vegetation comes out by the permission of its Lord, while that which is bad brings forth nothing but scantily' (Al-A'raf, 58). One says: kharajat al-sama' (the sky broke forth): it thundered and its cloud cleared away. Kharaja from the matter or the distress: to get free of it. Kharaja from his religion: to leave it. Kharaja against the ruler: to rebel and rise up. Kharaja someone in knowledge or a craft: to train and teach him. Kharaja the land: to settle its people and impose upon it the kharaj (land tax). Kharaja the thing: its colour became of two colours.
