Definition of Thbā

Allah says: 'Go forth in separate groups (thubât) or go forth all together' (An-Nisâ': 71).

Thubât: plural of 'thuba', meaning a group, a troop.

The verse speaks of military strategy: going in small successive groups or as one massive army according to circumstances.
