The definition of izhaar halqi

In the language: izhaar means the clearing and the making evident.

In the terminology: pronouncing each letter from its articulation point, without ghunnah. That is, pronouncing the noon, completing it fully from its articulation point, and the izhaar letter from its articulation point, separating the two and making each of them clear, while guarding against ghunnah on the noon.

The letters of izhaar halqi

The letters of izhaar number six: they are the letters of the throat (the gullet), namely the hamzah, the haa', the 'ayn, the haa, the ghayn and the khaa. The versifier mentioned them saying:

همز فهاء ثم عين حاء مهملتان ثم غين خاء

"A hamzah, then a haa', then an 'ayn and a haa, the two unmarked letters, then a ghayn and a khaa"

There is no difference, in izhaar, between the noon meeting the throat letter within a single word, or the letter being in another word. The reason for the izhaar of the noon before these letters is the distance of the articulation point of the noon from the articulation points of the letters of the throat.
