In this fifth part of the chapter on talaq (repudiation), the jurists examine the rights that attach to a wife repudiated in her revocable stage, then repudiation directed at the whole body or at a part of it, the rule requiring a spoken formula, the explicit formula (sarih) and its words, the allusive formula (kinaya) and its categories, the husband's saying "you are forbidden to me", formulas having no connection with talaq, and finally the repetition of the formula. The positions of the four schools are reported with their proofs, their texts and their classical references.
