As'ar

d: As'ar, with a 'r' at the end, or: ibn Sa'r, or: Sa'r.

Narrated from the Prophet ﷺ.

Narrated Abu Murrah al-Juhani, from ibn Sa'r, from his father, who said: I was in the vicinity of Makkah with my sheep, when suddenly the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appeared, so I said: Welcome, Messenger of Allah ﷺ! What do you want? He said: The zakah of your wealth, I replied: So I brought a mixed-wool sheep, the best I could find. When he saw it, he said: We do not have a right to this; our right is in the two-year-old and the one-year-old.

Reported here by Ibn Manda, while Abu Nu'aym and Abu Umar reported it under 'Sa'r'.
