Ashim adh-Dhubabi

b s: Ashim al-Dabani was killed during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ.

Isma'il ibn 'Ubayd and others reported to us, with a chain of narration going back to Abu 'Isa al-Tirmidhi, who said: Qutaybah and others reported to us, who said: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah reported to us, on the authority of al-Zuhri, on the authority of Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, who said: 'Umar used to say: The blood money is owed by the 'aqilah, and a woman does not inherit from her husband's blood money, until al-Dahhak ibn Sufyan al-Kilabi informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to him that: The wife of Ushaym al-Dababi inherited from her husband's blood money.

Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.

Abu Musa al-Asfahani reported to us, by way of permission, and Abu al-Fadl Ja'far ibn 'Abd al-Wahid reported to us, who said: Abu Tahir Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahim reported to us, and Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Ja'far Abu al-Shaykh reported to us, and Abu Ya'la Ahmad ibn 'Ali ibn al-Muthanna reported to us, who said: 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar ibn Iyas reported to us, and Ibn al-Mubarak reported to us, on the authority of Malik, on the authority of al-Zuhri, on the authority of Anas, who said: The killing of Ashim was a mistake.

Abu 'Umar and Abu Musa reported it.
