Biography of Al-Bara' ibn Aws

Bara' ibn Aws ibn Khalid witnessed one of the Prophet's ﷺ battles, and led two horses. The Prophet ﷺ shot him with five arrows, as reported by Ibn Mandah and Abu Naim.

Abu 'Umar said: Bara' ibn Aws ibn Khalid ibn al-Ja'd ibn 'Uwf ibn Mabdhul ibn 'Amr ibn Ghunm ibn 'Adi ibn al-Najjar, is Abu Ibrahim, the Prophet's ﷺ foster son, because his wife Umm Barra' nursed him with her milk.

Whether they were one or two, God knows best.

This was narrated by the three.
