Jumrah ibn an-Nu'man

B.S.A: Jamra ibn al-Nu'man ibn Huzah ibn Malik ibn Sinan ibn al-Bai' ibn Dilm ibn 'Adi ibn Hazaz ibn Kahal ibn 'Udhra, the chief of the Banu 'Udhra.

He visited the Prophet ﷺ as part of the delegation of 'Udhra, and he brought their pledge of allegiance, as stated by al-Tabari.

He reported that the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to bury the hair and blood, and the Prophet ﷺ gave him a throw of his whip and a horse from the valley of al-Qura, and he was the first to bring charity from 'Udhra to the Prophet ﷺ.

He was narrated by Abu Naim, Abu 'Umar, and Abu Musa, except that Abu Musa omitted three names from his lineage, saying: al-Bai' ibn Kahal ibn 'Udhra, and what we mentioned is more accurate, as also mentioned by Ibn Makula, Ibn al-Kalbi, and others.

Hazaz: with a fa' (ف) in the first letter, a za' (ز) with a dot above, and a za' (ز) in the last letter.

And al-Bai': with a wa' (و) in the first letter, a ya' (ي) with two dots below, and an 'ain (ع) in the last letter.
