Rifa'ah ibn Abd al-Mundhir

Rafi'ah ibn Abd al-Munthir ibn Zanbar ibn Zayd ibn Umayyah ibn Zayd ibn Malik ibn Awf ibn Amr ibn Awf ibn Malik ibn al-Aws, Abu Lababah al-Ansari al-Awsi. He is well-known by his kunyah.

He was narrated from by Ibn Umar, Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, Abu Bakr ibn Amr ibn Hazm, Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, Salman al-Agharr, Abd al-Rahman ibn Ka'b ibn Malik, and others.

He was the one who was sent by the Messenger of God ﷺ to the Banu Quraizah when they were besieged.

We were informed by Abu Ja'far ibn al-Simn, with his chain of transmission to Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: My father Ishaq ibn Yasar informed me, from Ma'bad ibn Ka'b ibn Malik al-Sulami, who said: 'Then they sent to the Messenger of God ﷺ: Send us Abu Lababah ibn Abd al-Munthir, for they were allies of the Aws, to consult with him regarding their affair.'
