Biography of Maymuna bint al-Harith

Maimuna bint Al-Harith Al-Hilalia Maimuna bint Al-Harith bin Hazan Al-Hilalia. Her lineage goes back to her sister Lubabah. Maimuna is the wife of the Prophet ﷺ. Her sisters have been mentioned previously: Lubabah the Greater, Lubabah the Younger, Asmaa bint Umays, and others. Maimunah's name was "Barrah," so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, called her Maimunah. Kurayb said it, on the authority of Ibn Abbas. She was his maternal aunt and the maternal aunt of Khaled ibn al-Walid. It was before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, with Abu Rahm bin Abdul Uzza bin Abdul Wad bin Malik bin Hasal bin Amer bin Luay. Another report states: It was with Sakhabra bin Abi Rahm. Some reports state: It was with Huwaytab bin Abdul Uzza. According to another account, At Farwa bin Abdul-Uzza Al-Asadi, Asad bin Khuzaymah, Qatada said. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married her after her marriage in the year seven during the Umrah of the judiciary in Dhul-Qa'dah.

Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, sent Ja'far bin Abi Talib to her and proposed to her, so she made her matter to Al-Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib, so he married her to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; another report states that Al-Abbas said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Maimuna bint Al-Harith had married Abu Rahm bin Abdul-Uzza. Can you marry her? So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married her. Reported by Abu Jaafar, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, who said: Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married after Safiya Maimunah bint Al-Harith Al-Hilaliyya, and before him she was with Abu Rahm bin Abdul-Uzza (1). Reported by Yunus said: Ja'far bin Burqan, on the authority of Yazid bin Al-Asam, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married Maimuna while it was permissible for her to live in a dome. She died there, and Yazid is the son of Maimuna's sister (2). And Another report states: He married her while he was in ihram.

Reported by several transmitters, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, who said: that the Prophet ﷺ got married. Maimuna while he was in ihram (3). Due to this difference, the jurists differed regarding the marriage of a woman in ihram, and some of them said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married her while he was in ihram, and the matter of her marrying him while he was in ihram came to light, He later consummated the marriage with her while not in ihram, at Sarif on the road to Mecca (4). She also died at Sarif, the place where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had consummated their marriage. She was buried there. And when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, finished his Umrah.

He stayed in Mecca for three days, then Suhail bin Amr came to him, with a group of Meccans. They said: O Muhammad, leave us, for today is the last of your condition - and it was a condition in Al-Hudaybiyyah that whoever came should perform Umrah and stay in Mecca for three days, so he said: Let me live with my family and prepare food for you. They said: We do not need your food. So he went out and built it in honor near Mecca.
